APGA WINS IHIALA FED CONSTITUENCY SEAT IN ANAMBRA

The Deputy Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Dr. Paschal Agbodike of the All Progressives Grand Alliance Party (APGA), has been declared winner of the Ihiala Federal Constituency in the National Assembly election conducted on 25th of February 2023.

He defeated the incumbent Federal lawmaker, Mr. Ifeanyi Momah, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who came second in the exercise.

Declaring the results at the Ihiala Local Government Headquarters, the Returning Officer Profesor, Anthony Okoye, said Dr. Agbodike polled a total of 5,709 votes to beat the incumbent, Ifeanyi Chudi Momah of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who scored 2,554 votes.

Mr. Hez Okonkwo of the Labour Party (LP) came third with 1,536 votes, YPP had 1313 votes, APC got 351 votes, NNPP had 22 votes, SDP got 16 votes while ANPP scored 2 votes.

In an interview, Dr. Agbodike described his victory as a true manifestation of the will of the people who had been yearning for quality representation at the National Assembly.

Dr. Agbodike said top on his agenda was to use dialogue to find a lasting solution to the incessant security issues in Ihiala local government area.
