REPORTER: CHINAZO ILECHUKWU

National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) members posted to Imo State have been urged to be patriotic and contribute their quota towards the development of the nation.

The Coordinator of NYSC in the state, Mrs. Rachel Idaewor, gave the charge at the closing of three week orientation course organised for 2024 “Batch A Stream Two” corps members deployed to Imo state.

She noted that the country was in dire need of their services, hence the need for the youths to impact positively on the lives of their host communities.

Mrs. Idaewor advised the corps members to leverage on the trainings received during the orientation to ensure self reliance, especially now that the government is encouraging entrepreneurship.

The State Coordinator cautioned against embarking on unauthorized journeys, and urged them to be law abiding and security conscious.

She added that the safety of corps members remained top priority of the management.
