ANAMBRA FA PARTNERS NIGERIA POLICE FOR GRASSROOTS SPORTS DEVELOPMENT

The Police Command in Anambra State says it will work hand in hand with the football Association, FA in the state to help keep Youths off the street.

The Commissioner of Police, Mr. Aderemi Adeoye, made this known while playing host to the Chairman of Football Association in Anambra State, Mr. Chikelue Iloenyosi, at the Command headquarters, Amawbia.

According to Mr. Adeoye, the police force will partner the football house by promoting games at the grassroots level.

Mr. Adeoye, who said he had followed keenly the work of the former Super Eagles striker in football in the state, noted that the Nigerian Police Force had had tremendous working relationship with the football house both at national and state levels.

The Commissioner of Police also pledged to provide trophies and medals for novelty games.

Anambra FA Chairman, Mr. Chikelue Iloenyosi, assured the police boss that the football house in the state would support in making sure that his tenure as Police Commissioner would be successful.

Mr. Iloenyosi expressed optimism that the appointment of Mr. Adeoye as the Commissioner of ppolice would bring peace and normalcy to Anambra State.

Meanwhile, the FA Chairman announced that there would be a novelty match to welcome the new Commissioner of Police officially.
