POLICE PARADE 6 SIT-AT-HOME ENFORCERS IN EBONYI, RECOVER WEAPONS, OTHERS

Police in Ebonyi State have paraded six suspects said to have been involved in the enforcment of illegal sit at home order.

The Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, Mrs. Onome Onovwakpoyeya, told journalists that some of the suspets were arrested in Okposi in Ohaozara Local Government Area.

She also stated that others were picked up at a native doctor’s shrine in Amanator, Isu in Onicha Local Government Area where they were allegedly fortifying themselves with charm in preparation for attack.

Mrs. Onovwakpoyeya gave the names of the suspects as Emmanuel Edwin, Innocent Odii, Sunday Nwenne and Victor Okonkwo.

Others were Chika Ogad and Sunday Chukwu while another who was said to have sustained bullet wounds died in the hospital.

Items allegedly recovered from the suspects include one pump action gun, an AK47 rifle with breach number 400557 and 9 round of 762 by 39mm AK 47 live ammunition.

Others were 1 Toyota Highlander Jeep, 1 fireman surmac generator, 1 motorcycle and assorted criminal charms.
