GOV OTTI FUMES AS CRIMINALS KILL SOLDIER IN ABA ATTACK

Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has commiserated with the Nigerian Army over the death of one of its soldiers following an attack by criminal elements at Milverton area of Aba.

According to the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Homeland Security, Mr. Chukwunenye Alajemba, the incident left another soldier wounded and is currently receiving treatment at a hospital.

The Governor who described the incident as unfortunate, commended the officers and men of the force for exercising restraint in the face of this unprovoked attack.

Governor Otti thanked the Commander 14 Brigade, Ohafia, Brigadier General Olusola Diya, for his prompt intervention and ensuring that peace continued to prevail in Aba the economic hub of the state.

The Governor called on members of the public to remain calm and adviced residents to go about their lawful businesses without fear.

He also encouraged them to cooperate with relevant security agencies by providing them with useful information as they work to fish out the perpetrators of this heinous attack.
