APGA DISSOLVES OBINAO LED BOARD OF TRUSTEES, FIXES DATES FOR CONGRESSES AND NATIONAL CONVENTION

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has dissolved its Board of Trustees (BOT).

The dissolved BOT of the party was chaired by the Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano.

The decision, which was reached in Awka during the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting followed the expiration of the four year term of the members of the BOT.

New BOT members are to be nominated ahead of its National Convention for ratification.

The resolutions, which were read out by the the National Secretary of APGA, Mr. Labaran Maku, also ratified its National Convention to be held in Awka on May 31, 2019.

The Ward and Local Government Congresses of the party will hold on May 19 and 21, while its State and Zonal congresses are to take place on the May 23.

The party also retained its earlier zoning formular for the distribution of national offices, while members who took the party to court without exhausting internal mechanisms were expelled.

Earlier, while addressing the NEC, Governor Willie Obiano pledged the readiness of the party’s National Assembly members-elect to support the Federal Government in achieving its development agenda.

The National Chairman of APGA, Chief Victor Oye, commended the members for their zeal towards transforming the party.
