VARIOUS GOVTS URGED TO BE MORE COMMITTED IN THE FIGHT AGAINST INSECURITY

Some Public affairs analysts have attributed the cause of insecurity in the country to failure of various Governments to create enabling environment for youths to be gainfully employed.

They made the observation while contributing to political watch, a Radio Nigeria Enugu Zonal Political Programme.

One of them and Professor of Public Administration, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Professor Emma Chukwuemeka stated that fighting insecurity without plan to create jobs for the teaming youths would amount to temporal solution to the problem.

Also Contributing to the programme, another University Don, Professor Agu Gab Agu while calling for sincerity of purpose in the recruitment process of police officers suggested that welfare of security agencies in the country should be prioritized.

Another Guest and security expert, Mr Felix Asadu expressed worry over the level of insecurity in the country and urged Nigerians especially security agencies to show patriotism in building a viral society.

Callers in the programme urged government at all levels to show more commitment in the fight against insecurity, to ensure rapid improvement in the economy of the country.
