2 MORE SUSPECTS IN CONNECTION WITH THE OZUBULU KILLING IN ANAMBRA STATE IDENTIFIED

Barely three months after the invasion and killing of eighteen worshipers at St. Philip Catholic Church, Ozubulu, in Anambra State, the  Police command in the area says it has unmasked two suspects behind the hideous crime.

The State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Garba Umar who stated this during a press briefing at  the Police Headquarters Amawbia, explained  that two Nigerians serving murder sentences in South Africa prison, Prince Charles Obia.k.aGozila and Dickson Nwodi were behind the act.

Mr. Umar claimed that Obi and Nwodi who hail from Nnobi and Oba communities of the state  had mandated one Quintus Anayo alias Obasanjo equally based in South Africa to inform Ozubulu elders that the suspects in prison custody were behind the invasion. The Police Commissioner told newsmen that the account of Anayo was in line with the investigation of police in the matter.

Mr. Umar said, already police had established contact with Interpol on the need to extradite the suspects who based in South Africa for the attack in Ozubulu. He pointed out that the police in the state were already making arrangement to arraign the three suspects earlier arrested   in connection with the killings within the week.

Mr. Umar thanked members of the public for the information which he attributed to the successes already recorded by police in the investigations.
