EASTER TRAFFIC: FRSC DEPLOYS OVER 800 PERSONNEL IN ANAMBRA

REPORTER: OBY ARINZE

Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Anambra Sector Command says it has deployed 857 regular and special marshals to critical areas all over the state for smooth travels during the Easter Celebration.

The Sector Commander, Mr. Adeoye Irelewuyi, made this known in an interview with Radio Nigeria in Awka.

The Sector Commander pointed out that the command would be concentrating on Onitsha and Awka Metropolis due to high traffic being experienced in those areas.

The FRSC boss explained that their main focus this easter season would be “Visibility and Quick intervention in case of any traffic incident.

The Easter patrol would also focus on clearing obstructions, especially prompt removal of broken down vehicles or any other obstruction that might impede free traffic flow.

Mr. Irelewuyi assured road users that they would enjoy free traffic flow this season as the command would do its best to reduce traffic crashes.

The Sector Commander, however, appealed to the motoring public to always plan their journeys, exercise patience while travelling.

These, he said, would help to avoid rushing, forming multiple lanes, overspeeding and driving under the influence of alcohol.
