NSCDC ASSURES EASTER SECURITY IN ABIA

The Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Abia State Command, Mr. Usman Alfadarai, has reassured residents of the state of adequate security of lives and property before, during and after the Easter celebrations.

Mr. Alfadarai gave the assurance while speaking with journalists at the command’s headquarters in Umuahia.

He charged officers and men of the Command to scale up security in ahead of the Easter celebrations.

Mr. Alfadarai said the command was fully committed to achieving its mandate of securing lives and critical national assets and infrastructure.

The NSCDC boss further stated that strategic deployments had been made with special attention to worship and event centers, Motor parks, Malls and other flashpoints to ensure a crime-free celebration.

Mr. Alfadarai said the command was collaborating with other sister security agencies in the fight to flush out criminal elements in the state.

While felicitating with the Christian faithful as they commemorate Easter, Mr. Alfadarai enjoined them to emulate the life of Jesus Christ which is centered on sacrifice, peace and love of neighbour.
