GOOD FRIDAY SERVICE: ABIA BASED PRIEST INSISTS ON ACCOUNTABILITY AMONG CHRISTIANS

Christians have been encouraged to always be accountable unto God just as Jesus Christ was accountable to God even on the Cross of Calvary.

The Curate of Saint Paul’s Anglican Church, World Bank Housing Estate, Umuahia, Abia State, the Reverend Ngozi Onwugbufor, gave the charge in a service to mark Good Friday.

He explained that Jesus Christ took the responsibility of redeeming mankind, which made Him to die on the Cross of Calvary.

The clergyman explained that the Friday Jesus was crucified is called Good Friday because it was the day Christ brought salvation to mankind and it served as the fulfillment of the word of God.

The Reverend Onwugbufor encouraged Christian faithful to be committed to the work of God and be responsible in all their activities even in the Church, Family and Society.
