INEC AD-HOC STAFF WARNED NOT TO COMPROMISE THEIR DUTIES

Corps members have been urged to remain neutral and non-partisan during the upcoming general election in the country.

The Deputy Director, Planning, Research and Statistics, NYSC Abuja, Alhaji Musa Abubakar stated this while addressing members recruited as ad-hoc staff by INEC for this year’s general election in Abia State.

He charged them not to take side with any group or individuals but to carry out their duties diligently according to INEC guidelines.

Alhaji Abubakar warned them to shun any form of gratifications from anybody on the election days as such would amount to collecting bribe to compromise their duties.

Also speaking, the State Coordinator ,NYSC, Abia State, Mrs. Francesca Ifon advised the corps members to ensure that they put into practice, all they were taught by INEC officials during their training

She also urged them not to grant any interview to journalists on the days of election as they had no right to speak.

Over one thousand corps members attended the briefing.
