ABIA STATE GOVT RESTATES COMMITMENT TO PROMOTE SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State has reiterated his administration’s commitment to provide enabling environment for small and medium enterprises to thrive.

Governor Ikpeazu stated this in a message to a one day sensitization programme on Patronizing Made in Nigeria products and services in Aba.

The Governor who was represented by his Senior Special Adviser on Job Creation, Mr. Chinenye Nwogu noted that Aba as one of the commercial hubs of the country had human resources more than some major cities in the world.

He maintained that his administration would continue to showcase the ingenuity and creative talents of small and medium enterprises that abound in the commercial city in order to promote local manufacturers.

In a remark, the State Director, National Orientation Agency, NOA, Abia State, Mrs Ngozi Okechukwu urged Nigerians to patronize made in Nigeria products and services as it would enhance employment generation and boost the nation’s gross domestic product.

The NOA State Director who was represented by an Assistant Director in the agency,  Mr Linus Chibueze explained that there was need for a sustained national campaign to sensitize Nigerians to change their attitude towards locally made goods.

Also speaking, the Deputy President Aba Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, Chief Jerry Kalu assured that the chamber would Collaborate with NOA in its efforts to ensure that Nigerians patronizelocally made products.
