YOUR APPOINTMENT IS NOT JOB FOR THE BOYS — OTTI WARNS COMMISSIONERS

Abia State Government has called on political office holders in the state to bring in their wealth of experience to create more sustainable developments in the area.

Governor Alex Otti made the call during the inauguration of commissioners into the State Executive Council of the state at the Government House Umuahia.

Governor Otti said the era of making appointments just to create jobs for the boys was over, stressing that all the appointments wwre meant to add value to the state.

He reminded the new commissioners that the expectations from Abia people were very high and as such his government would not accept poor quality jobs from them.

Responding on behalf of his colleague, the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Mrs. Blessing Felix, and the Commissioner for Power and Public Utilities, Mr. Ikechukwu Monday, thanked the Governor for the opportunity given them to serve.

They urged the people of Abia State to work collectively to make Abia great.
