The suspect, Chukwuemeka Nkachukwu, was arrested by local vigilance operatives after having canal knowledge of the girl reportedly at about 3am.

Investigation by Radio Nigeria revealed that the suspect, who is a farmer and father of three, had since been separated with his wife.

He was said to have disguised as a lady and broke into the building of the victim at about 1am, leaving the family members with the impression that an armed robber had invaded their home.

The father of the girl, Mr. Samuel Madubueze, explained that after breaking in and threatening them with machete, the suspect took away his 19 year old daughter alongside all their cell phones.

He then padlocked the door from outside to ensure that nobody pursued him.

The victim told Radio Nigeria that the alleded rapist took her to a river called Ekulo Ngene and repeatedly asked her if she knew who he was while raping her.

The victim, who said she just finished writing her Senior School Certificate Examination, hoping to gain admission into the university, appealed that justice be served to put a stop to the sexual escapades of the suspect.

Unlike the previous cases, this victim might get justice if the assurance by the Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs in Anambra state, Mrs. Ify Obinabo is anything to believe.

She said the state government under Governor Chukwuma Soludo was committed to ensuring that victims of rape and other types of abuse got justice.
