POLICE IN EBONYI ARREST MAN FOR KILLING THREE PERSONS IN FARM

Police in Ebonyi State have arrested one Chibuike Ochie for allegedly killing two of his relatives and a labourer with machete at Obegu farm in Uburu, Ohaozara Local Government Area of the state.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the State, Mrs. Loveth Odah, told Radio Nigeria that the victims were working in the farm when they were waylaid by the suspect.

She noted that the victims were identified as Ogechi, who was the wife of the brother of the assailant, his younger sister, Margret, and a hired labourer whose name could not be ascertained as at the time of filing this report.

The Police Public Relations Officer said the attacker was arrested and mobbed by youths of the community but was rescued and rushed to the hospital by the police.

Meanwhile, the remains of those killed have been deposited in a mortuary while police were yet to ascertain the motive behind the attack.
