INITIATE PROJECTS THAT WILL IMPACT YOUR HOST COMMUNITIES—NYSC TELLS CORPS MEMBERS IN IMO

The Coordinator National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) in Imo State, Mrs. Rachel Idaewor, has charged corps members serving in the state to integrate with host communities and initiate projects that will impact positively on the lives of the people.

She stayed this at the closing of orientation course for the 2023 Batch C Stream One corps members at Eziama Obaire in Nkwerre Local Government Area.

Mrs. Idaewor advised them to take advantage of the post camp Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) Programme of the scheme aimed at empowering them to better their lots even after the service year.

The state coordinator cautioned the new corps members against unauthorized movements out of the state and be security conscious, noting that the scheme was committed to theit welfare.

Mrs. Idaewor, while commending the Imo State Government and other stakeholders for providing conducive environment for the scheme to thrive in the state, appealed to the youth to remain patriotic and diligent in their conduct.

More than 1,200 corps members, who took part in the orientation course in Imo State, have been deployed to areas of primary assignments.
