IGNORE ANY PURPORTED ADVERTISEMENT OF JOB RECRUITMENT—ABIA STATE GOVT

Abia State Government says the purported advertisement of recruitment into the state Civil Commission circulating on different social media platforms is fake.

A statement by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Mr. Ferdinand Ekeoma, explained that the advertisement never emanated from the Abia State Civil Service Commision and urged the entire public to disregard the fake advertisement.

The statement noted that there could not have been any recruitment when verification and reforms geared towards sanitising the Civil Service is on going.

According to the statement any recruitment exercise into the Civil Service shall be approved by the Governor and announced on the state-owned radio station and other radio stations alongside pages of major newspapers through the Civil Service Commision.

The statement appealed to anyone with useful information that could lead to the arrest and prosecution of the fraudsters behind the advert to contact the office of the Chief of Staff to the Governor or report to the nearest Police Station.
