GUNMEN KILL TWO POLICEMEN IN ABIA STATE POLICE STATION ATTACK

Two Police men have lost their lives following unknown gunmen attack on a Police formation at Ubakala in Umuahia South Local Government Area of Abia State.
Speaking with Radio Nigeria in Umuahia, the Police Public Relations Officer Abia State Command, Mr. Geoffrey Ogbonna, said the hoodlums, numbering over fifty, armed with dangerous weapons, attacked the station and set it ablaze.
He noted that it was during the attack that two of its personnel were shot dead by the hoodlums.
The Police spokesman said that the hoodlums also burnt some of the vehicles parked at the station but informed that investigation had commenced into the matter.
