GOV UMAHI SIGNS 2023 APPROPRIATION BILL, PROMISES TO BUILD STATE TEACHING HOSPITAL

Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State has signed the 2023 appriopration bill of 139.3 billion Naira into law.
At the event in his home town Uburu in Ohaozara Local Government Area, Governor Umahi noted that placing capital expenditure higher than recurrent expenditure was aimed at completing some critical projects initiated by his administration.
He promised to launch the construction of two kilometres of roads in each of the one hundred and forty communities in the state during local government campaign tours.
According to the Governor, his administration will pay off all pension arrears and gratuities as well as construct Ebonyi State Teaching Hospital within his remaining five months in office.
The Speaker, Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Chief Francis Nwifuru, had while presenting the bill for assent commended the Governor for his commitment to prioritize critical projects in the yearly budget of the state.
