GOV OTTI INAUGURATES TWO BODIES TO CHECK INSECURITY IN ABIA

As part of efforts to improve security measures, Abia State, the Government has inaugurated the Security Advisory Council and the Abia Security Trust Fund.

Also inaugurated is the Abia State Judicial Service Commission.

Inaugurating the bodies at Government House Umuahia, Governor Otti explained that state government prioritized the security of lives and property in the state.

The Governor enjoined the Security Advisory Council to interface with the existing security architecture in the state to provide insight that would help to consolidate the gains made since the inception of his administration.

He tasked the Security Trust Fund to work with public and private institutions to raise the resources that would enable the state to procure important operational and logistics tools to support various security teams.

In their separate responses, the Chairman of the Security Advisory Council and former Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Azubuike Ihejirika (rtd); and the Chairman of the Security Trust Fund, Chief Stanley Obiamaraije, all thanked the governor for the opportunity to serve the people of the state.

They promised to bring in their wealth of experience to bear to ensure that the deserved security situation is achieved in the state.
