GIRL STABS BOYFRIEND TO DEATH IN ANAMBRA

A twenty-five year old girl,  Onyinye Chime, is now in police net after allegedly stabbing her boyfriend  to death in Nkpor, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.  A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, Mr. Haruna Muhammed, says that the suspect, who resides at Ochiagha Street murdered her twenty-nine year old boyfriend, Eleyi Azubuike.

The statement noted that preliminary investigation showed that the deceased allegedly impregnated the suspect and wanted her to abort it. The girlfriend declined and demanded for some money for her upkeep but the deceased refused to oblige.

It stated that the situation led to a scuffle, which resulted in stabbing the deceased to death.  The statement indicated that careful observation on the corpse revealed stab wound on the chest region while a blood stained kitchen knife was allegedly recovered as exhibit at the scene.

According to statement, the case is under investigation to unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident.
