ANAMBRA ASSEMBLY LAUDS SOLUDO FOR ROAD PROJECTS

The Anambra State House of Assembly has commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for carefully selecting roads that have direct impact on the people.

The Speaker of the House, Mr. Somtochukwu Udeze, stated this when he went for the last phase of tour of some roads in Anambra North Senatorial Zone.

According to the Speaker, most of the roads being completed and inaugurated by the Soludo led government cover the yearnings of many communities across the state.

Mr. Udeze, who expressed satisfaction with the roads inspected, however, made minor observations where amendments were necessary.

He said having visited most of the roads across the state, it was obvious that the present administration had shown that it meant well for the people.

Speaking on the bridges on Osamala road in Ogbaru, Mr. Udeze called on the contractor to expedite action on the project, being very strategic to the people, who are mostly farmers.

The Member representing Ogbaru constituency One, Mr. Noble Igwe, while describing the governor as a prudent manager of resources, called on him to continue with the pace as it was impacting the people.

For his part, the member representing Onitsha North Constituency II, Mr. Fred Ezenwa, and his Anambra East, counterpart, Mr. Obi Nweke, described the road projects done so far as tremendous achievement within two years.

He commended the quality of work by the contractors.

Also, the member representing Onitsha South Constituency One, Mr. Jude Umennajiego, and the member representing Onitsha North Constituency One, Mr. Justice Azuka, noted that good infrastructure would definitely enhance any economic activities in the state.

The Speaker’s entourage visited Nsugbe Akpaka- road, Ogbaru Ozubulu road among others.
