4 YOUNG PERSONS IN POLICE NET FOR SEX BLACKMAIL IN ANAMBRA

Police operatives in Anambra State on Thursday arrested four suspects at Ajakpani Village, Umuanya in Oyi Local Government Area of the state for alleged conspiracy, blackmail and stealing.

The names of the suspects comprising two males and females, were given as Okechukwu Ogoejiofor, Nonso Nwizu, Esther Nwafor and Obianuju Nduba.

In a statement, the Public Relations Officer of the Command, Mr. Tochukwu Ikenga, said preliminary investigation showed that the suspects used social media to lure their unsuspecting male victims into fake love/friendship affairs.

The statement said that the suspects would thereafter, take the victim to a room, where Obianuju Nduba allegedly engaged the victim in a foreplay, before other members of the gang would force themselves into the same room and take nude pictures/videos of the victim, which they use to force the victim into transferring huge sums of money to them, with the threat of publishing same on social media if the victim failed to comply with them.

It also alleged that the gang members also used the opportunity to dispossess the individual of his personal belongings.

The statement concluded by saying that the suspects would be arraigned in court once investigations were concluded.
