THREE HUNDRED YOUNG MILLIONAIRES EMERGE IN IMO STATE

Three hundred and five million naira cheques have been disbursed to youth from Imo State in continuation of the empowerment scheme of the State Government. Governor Rochas Okoroacha while handling over the cheques to the beneficiaries during an event to mark democracy day in Owerri said the youth were selected from the three hundred and five electoral wards in the State.According to the Governor, the one million naira gesture to each of the youth was in fulfillment of his promise to raise more millionaires in the state.Governor Okorocha noted that government would mentor the beneficiaries to ensure maximum utilization of the fund. Governor Okorocha stated that over three thousand graduates were recently employed by the State Government to fill some vacancies in the local and State Government Services.

It could be recalled that the Imo State Government had in March this year empowered over three thousand women across the state with one hundred thousand naira each to support small scale businesses.
