BRITISH HIGH COMMISSIONER DEMANDS CREDIBLE GUBER ELECTION IN ANAMBRA

index5The British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Paul Arkwright says credible election is the panacea to deepen democratic rule in the country. Addressing some Civil Society organizations in Awka, Anambra State, Mr. Arkwright stated that community participation in the electoral process was needed to guarantee freedom of choice during elections.

The British High Commissioner expressed joy in the business opportunities that abound in the State. According to him the State has huge potential in the area of aggro business, farming and agricultural exploration. Mr. Arkwright pointed out that his delegation was in the State to explore the agricultural value chain and agro business with the aim of linking the State with relevant industries in the United Kingdom for improved performance and increased output.

The High Commissioner noted that the State was one out of four selected for study by British for business and economic assistance. The Secretary to the State Government, Professor Solo Chukwulobe while appreciating the visit said Anambra State had employed transparency in government engagements in all spheres of its economy. Professor Chukwulobe assured that with the security in the State the ground was fertile for safe business transactions and engagements by genuine investors.
