NIGERIA UNION OF PENSIONERS, ENUGU BRANCH HOLDS ITS ELECTION

The Nigeria Union of Pensioners Enugu Main Branch has continued to commend the outcome of the 2015/2016 state wide verification which place the state on the list of first five states that are up-to-date with payment of monthly pension. They made their feelings known in a statement signed by the Chairman of the Union, Mr. Joseph Onwuzu.

The statement appealed to all their members to come out en-masse for the election into executive committee of the union which will hold on Thursday this week at Enugu Main Branch, State Secretariat by ten o’clock in the morning. The statement notes that non pensioners will not be allowed to participate as security agents have been adequately mobilized to ensure smooth conduct of the election.

It also expresses satisfaction with the efforts of the present executive committee of the union for pursuing the payment of outstanding gratuities and harmonization arrears which they are negotiating with Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
