NIGERIA CLIMB FOUR PLACES IN LATEST FIFA RANKING

Nigeria Super Eagles moved four places to now be rated the 32nd best football playing nation in the world according to the rankings released by Federation of International Football on Wednesday.

In the month under review, the three time African champion garnered 1487 points to become the third-best team on the continent after overtaking Algeria and Morocco.

The Eagles were fifth prior to the latest ranking.

Gernot Rohr’s side are behind Africa’s No.1 ranked team, Senegal, who dropped two places to 22nd, and second placed Tunisia.

Algeria, Morocco,
Egypt, Ghana, Cameroon, Mali and Ivory Coast complete the Top 10.

The world’s ranking podium remained unchanged as Belgium remained the top team followed by France, Brazil, England and Portugal in that order.

Spain, Italy, Argentina, Uruguay, and Denmark complete the Top 10.

The next FIFA ranking will be published on May 27.
