TRANSITION COMMITTEE CHAIRMEN IN ANAMBRA TO STAY FOR MORE 3 MONTHS

The Anambra State House of Assembly has re-confirmed the Transition Committee Chairmen and members of the twenty-one local government areas of the state for another three months. The re-confirmation was made by the lawmakers during the plenary session of the House in Awka.

The Speaker of the House, Mrs. Rita Maduagwu said the re-confirmation of the Committee Chairmen and the lawmakers followed a letter forwarded to the House by the Governor of the State, Chief Willie Obiano in line with section two hundred and eight of the local government administration law of the state.

One of the Committee Chairmen, who spoke on behalf of others, Mr. Uchenna Okafor of Oyi Local Government Council, thanked the lawmakers for the gesture and pledged that they would work harmoniously with the governor in taking the state to a greater height.
