GOVT URGED TO ADDRESS FREQUENT INDUSTRIAL ACTIONS BY HEALTHCARE WORKERS
The Enugu Diocese of the Anglican Communion, wants government to address the dilapidation of basic infrastructure and frequent industrial actions by health workers nationwide. This is part of the communiqué reached at the end of the third session of the sixteenth Synod of the Diocese held at Christ Redemption Church Ogui, New Layout Enugu.
The communiqué also called on the Enugu State Government to hand over missionary schools to their owners without much delay. It frowns at hate speeches and quit notice given to Igbos in the north, urging Nigerians to guide their utterances to foster peace, unity and harmony in the country.
The communiqué also commended the Federal Government for the rehabilitation of South-East federal roads and call for its speedy completion. The communiqué was signed by the Archbishop of Enugu Ecclesiastical Province, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, the Most Reverend Emmanuel Chukwuma, the Synod Secretary, Venerable Alex Orah and the Registrar, Mr. H.B.C. Ogboko.
