IN THE SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS: TOBY OKECHUKWU PRESENTS GIFTS TO OVER 200 INDIGENT WIDOWS AND PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED IN HIS CONSTITUENCY

Over two hundred indigent persons, including widows and the disabled, from Greater Awgu Federal Constituency have received gift items worth thousands of naira in the spirit of Christmas.

Some of the items distributed included foodstuff, cloths, cash and wheel chairs to enhance the mobility of the physically challenged ones.

Presenting the items, the member representing Aninri, Awgu, Oji-River Federal Constituency, Chief Toby Okechukwu, urged them to keep faith with God.

Chief Okechukwu while thanking the people for their continued support reiterated his commitment to ensuring better life for his people.

Also, the wife of the lawmaker, Mrs. Uche Okechukwu, who initiated the project, said the prayers of the group had been helpful to the success of the lawmaker noting that the programme would be sustained.

Other stakeholders, who spoke on the occasion including the chairman of Awgu Local Government Area, Chief Stanley Okeke, commended the quality representation of Chief Toby Okechukwu and prayed God to reward him.

One of the beneficiaries, Mr. Gabriel Chuwujike, who spoke on behalf of others, recalled that he had benefited from a free medical outreach organized by the lawmaker and urged him to continue in his good works.

The event, which is an annual event, attracted people from different part of the state.
