AHEAD OF 2019 POLLS PRESIDENT BUHARI CALLS FOR PEACEFUL CAMPAIGN

President Muhammadu Buhari, has appealed to politician to carryout peaceful and decent campaigns, as they campaign for the peace, progress and development of the country.

President Buhari, made the appeal at the All Progressives Congress (APC) presentation of the “next level 2019,” held at the presidential Villa, Abuja.

He also called for cooperation of Nigerians to move the country ahead.

The President used the opportunity to roll out his score cards, since assumption of offices.

Among them were tackling Boko Haram insurgency, military farmer and herder crashes, stabilizing the polity, tackling corruption.

According to President Buhari, the introduction of the Single Treasury Account (TSA) has reduced corruption in government offices.

The President said that the Federal Government was tackling unemployment and poverty through Social Investment Programme (SIP) to unemployed youths.

He promised more dividends of democracy to Nigerians if voted into power during the 2019 general election.
