UNKNOWN GUNMEN KILL 3 SECURITY PERSONNEL IN EBONYI

Unknown gun men have killed a police officer and two other persons alleged to be members of the State Vigilante Service Ebubeagu at Presco Flyover Abakaliki.
The gunmen struck at a checkpoint about 8 o’clock in the night resulting in a heavy gun battle that also left one of them dead.
The Police Spokesman in the State, Mr Chris Anyanwu confirmed the killing of the police officer and one of the suspected hoodlums but did not give details of the killing of Ebubeagu personnel.
Security personnel especially Ebubeagu have come under attack by unknown gunmen in Ebonyi State with the most recent being an attack at Ebebe junction Abakaliki which left two dead.
