The Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) in charge of Zone 13, Ukpo, Mr. Danmallam Muhammed, has cautioned members of the public against incisive comments that could cause disaffection,  tension and false security impression in the area.

In a press statement by the Zonal Public Relations Officer,  Zone 13,  Ukpo,  Princess Nkiruka Nwode, notes that the Nigerian Police Zone 13 has come to knowledge of a viral video purporting an influx of elements, whom according to the source, alleged to be Fulani insurgent migrants into Agulu and Adazi areas of Anambra State riding in a barrage of motorcycles.

The video went on to allege that there was an assemblage of these suspicious characters at the Hausa Quarters in Awka where from their journey took off. According to the statement by the Zonal PPRO, the content of the video also alleges that the suspected migrants intend to wreak mayhem on some communities in the state.

The AIG directs Anambra Commissioner of police, Mr. John Abang to tighten security in the state and verify the authenticity of the viral video and report back to the Zone for clarifications. The AIG employs the people to be calm and go about their legal duties without fear of harassment.

He also called on the people to be vigilant and resist any attempt at heisting their localities.
