POLICE & ARMY STRATEGISE TO END SIT-AT-HOME ORDER IN SOUTH EAST

The Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police in charge of Zone 13 Ukpo, Mr. Umar Muri, says the police commands in Anambra and Enugu states are currently working in collaboration with the Nigerian Army to see to the end of the sit-at-home order in the states.

Mr. Muri stated this at the Zone 13 headquarters Ukpo, in Dunukofia Local Government Area of Anambra State shortly after decorating officers attached to the two commands, who were recently promoted.

According to the AIG, the sit at home order, which was being observed in the area was illegal and will definitely be stopped with combined security efforts in the Zone.

Mr. Muri therefore called on members of the public not to hesitate to provide the police with useful information that would enable them tackle the situation in the interest of the public.

The AIG warned senior police officers against breach of law while cautioning them to always dress smartly on or off duty.

The AIG was assisted in the decoration of the promoted officers by the Commissioners of Police in Enugu and Anambra States as well as the Chairman Anambra State House of Assembly Committee on Security and Boundary Matters, Mr. Onyebuchi Offor.
