OHANEZE NDIGBO CONDEMNS INVASION OF EKWEREMADU’S RESIDENCE, CALLS FOR DEEPER INVESTIGATION

The Deputy President of the Senate, Chief Ike Ekweremadu, has called on the Federal Government led by President Muhammadu Buhari to end the killings and insecurity in the country.

Chief Ekweremadu made the call while addressing the people of Enugu West Senatorial Zone at Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu.

The Lawmaker said that the recent attack on his Abuja residence was targeted on his life and urged the people to remain calm as investigation was ongoing on the matter.

Chief Ekweremadu thanked the people of his constituency for the solidarity and assured them of his commitment to quality representation.

Earlier, the leader of the group and Chairman Ohaneze Ndigbo Enugu State, Chief Alex Ogbonnia, said the people condemned in totality the attack on their son and urged the security agencies to do proper investigation on the matter.

Chief Ogbonnia maintained that Ndigbo would continue to support Senator

Ekweremadu and called for an end to such dastardly act.

The people rolled out their drums, thanking God for saving the life of the Senator and his family.
