MARCH 18 POLLS: PROCESS PEACEFUL — UMAHI

Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State, joined other citizens to exercise their franchise in the governorship and house of assembly polls as he voted in his Onuofukuru polling unit 003 in Umunaga ward 3 in Uburu Ohaozara Local Government Area of the state.

Chief Umah who voted by 11am, alongside his eligible family members, commended INEC for conducting an orderly election.

He claimed reports from across the state indicated that the election was generally peaceful and urged security agents to ensure there was no breach of peace in any part of the state.

Some voters at the booth, including the Commissioner for Health in the State, Dr.Daniel Umezuruike, and Mr. Henry Ogamaku, described the process as transparent and hitch free.

The Presiding Officer, Mr. Ernest Nweze, said there were 1,266 registered voters in the polling unit while voting processes were in order.
