GUNMEN KILL THREE MEN, SET THREE VEHICLES ABLAZE IN NNOBI, ANAMBRA

The police command in Anambra State has confirmed the killing of three commuters on Afor Nnobi market road in Idemili South Local Government Area of the state.
A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Tochukwu Ikenga, reveals that the victims who were identified as Johnbosco Ojukwu, aged 33; Rapuluchukwu Ugoeze, aged 30; and Chukwuemeka Nwokebagu, 31 years old; were confirmed dead by medical doctor on duty at the hospital they were rushed to.
Yet to be identified gunmen violently attacked the unsuspecting members of the public at about 7:40pm on Sunday evening along Afor Nnobi Market.
The hoodlums also set ablaze one shuttle bus, one Toyota Sienna and a Toyota Hilux.
According to the statement, the Commissioner of Police in Anambra State, Mr. Tony Olofu, has detailed Crack Team led by an Assistant Commissioner of Police for-on-the spot assessment of the scene of the incident.
The team is to identify and apprehend the hoodlums and bring them to book.
The Police Commissioner described the attack as unfortunate and called on anyone with useful information that would aid the ongoing investigation to come foward guaranteeing the confidentiality of source of such information.
