GUNMEN KILL ONE, SET VEHICLES ABLAZE IN HOTEL IN EBONYI

Suspected Gunmen have killed a young man and set about nine cars ablaze in a hotel in Ezzamgbo, Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.

An Eyewitness account explained that the suspected hoodlums invaded the hotel which belongs to the Chairman of Ohaukwu Local Government Area, Mr. Ikechukwu Odono, early Monday morning and opened fire.

When contacted, Mr. Odono declined comment but the Police Public Public Relations Officer in the state, Mr. Joshua Ukandu, confirmed the incident to journalists.

According to the Police spokesperson, some vehicles were set ablaze in the hotel by the gunmen during the attack.

He stated that the police had swung into action to unravel those behind the attack.
