GOV UZODINMA TASKS FED POLY NEKEDE TO PRODUCE MORE EQUIPMENT TO TACKLE CORONAVIRUS

Imo State Governor, Chief Hope Uzodinma, has challenged the Federal Polytechnic Nekede Owerri to come up with more technological instrument in the form of machines for the handling of Coronavirus cases.

He made this known in Owerri when he received a fully automated hand cleansing unit and semi-automated hand washing unit donated by the management of the institution to the state government to fight COVID-19.

Chief Uzodinma saId his administration would partner the school and give them necessary support to carry out their research in the development of the equipment needed to fight viral diseases in the country.

The Rector Federal Polytechnic Nekede Owerri, the Reverend Michael Arimawa, noted that the devices were produced with about eighty percent local content as part of modest contribution in the fight against the corona virus pandemic.

The Reverend Arimawa explained that the devices were produced from conception, designed and fabricated without any external assistance.
