GOV. UGWUANYI FELICITATES WITH MOSLEMS ON EID EL MAULUD

The Enugu State Governor, Chief Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has urged Muslims to embark on spiritual rejuvenation and rebirth to strengthen their faith in line with the life of Prophet Mohammed.

Governor Ugwuanyi stated this in a message to Muslims as they celebrate Eid-el-Maulud, the birthday of Prophet Mohammed.

Chief Ugwuanyi on behalf of the Government and the good people of the State, felicitated with all the Muslim faithful in the State on this special occasion.

He enjoined them to offer prayers for peaceful co-existence among  various people in the nation.

Meanwhile, Federal Government had declared Friday December 1, 2017 as public holiday in commemoration of the Muslim Eid-El-Maulud celebration.

A statement by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Mr. Abubakar Magaji urged all Muslim faithful and Nigerians in general to use the occasion to pray for peace, progress and unity of the nation.
