FIVE DIE, EIGHT ABDUCTED IN EBONYI COMMUNAL ATTACK

About Five persons have been killed in Effium, Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State following a series of attacks that lasted till Monday morning in the war torn community.
The President Effium Development Union, Dr. James Ageina, told Radio Nigeria in Abakaliki that about eight persons were also abducted while houses were razed by the attackers.
He decried the senseless killings going on in Effium and appealed to the Federal and state governments to be bold in resolving the lingering crisis as all peace agreements put in place between Effium and Ezza Effium people had collapsed.
Dr. Ageina described what was happening in Effium as terrorism, emphasising that all places where people were seeking refuge had come under attack in the last one week.
