Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State has appealed to Ndigbo in Diaspora not to join #EndSARS protest again in view of the twist and violence that have trailed the genuine march against police brutality.
He stated this at the inspection of two Police Stations set ablaze by violent #EndSARS protesters at Okposi and Uburu in Ohaozara Local Government Area of the State.
Chief Umahi explained that as the Chairman of South East Governors Forum, he had been in touch with leaders from Northern, South South and South West regions to ensure the security of lives and property of Ndigbo in their domain.
He called on Nigerians to disregard fake news and inciting statements by the enemies of the country, noting that Ndigbo would continue to live peacefully with Nigerians from other regions.
Meanwhile Governor Umahi sacked one of his security aides and three Development Centre Coordinators for failing in their duties to prevent attacks on police stations by violent protesters.
