EID-EL-KABIR: FRSC DEPLOYS 400 MEN ACROSS ABIA ROADS

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Abia State Command, has deployed over 300 officers and 157 special marshals to ensure smooth vehicular movement across the state during and after the Eid el kabir festivities.

The FRSC Sector Commander in Abia, Mr. Paul Ugwu, made this known in an interview with Radio Nigeria.

Mr. Ugwu noted that all patrol vehicles and ambulance of the command had also been stationed at strategic locations such as Abia Tower and Enugu Port Harcourt Express way to ensure corps visibility, swift response to emergencies and clearing of obstructions within a short time.

The Sector Commander said they would also be paying attention to over loading, speed limit violation, route violation and other critical offenses that could cause crashes.

He emphasized that the major target was to have peaceful celebration devoid of crashes and fatalities.
