GOV NWIFURU ORDERS REMOVAL OF SPEED BREAKERS
REPORTER: AMECHI ODO
Ebonyi State Government has ordered for immediate removal of illegal speed breakers also known as bumps constructed on major roads in the state.
In a statement in Abakaliki, the Commissioner for Works and Transport, Mr. Stanley Mbam, noted that the directive had become imperative following indiscriminate construction of speed breakers by persons without government’s approval.
He warned that the state government would henceforth not tolerate illegal speed breakers along sections of major roads in the state.
According to the statement, the Commissioner urges persons who constructed speed breakers to remove them immediately as failure will be viewed as deliberate attempt to disrespect government policies.
