REPORTER: OBY ARINZE

Ahead of the 2022 Eidel-Kabir celebration, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Anambra Sector Command, has deployed one thousand and ninety Regular and Special Marshals to manage traffic situations on all roads within the state.

This is to ensure free flow of traffic and reduction in Road Traffic Crashes within the period as high volume of traffic is often witnessed during the celebration.

A statement by the Sector Public Education Officer, Mrs. Margaret Onabe, notes that such upsurge in volume of traffic usually comes with challenges, including traffic congestion, road obstructions and Road Traffic Crashes (RTC).

According to a statement, all operational and recovery vehicles have equally been deployed for prompt response to RTC and clearing any form of obstructions on the road.

It explains that the Special Operation as directed by FRSC National Headquarters, will last from July 6 to 13, 2022.

The statement assures residents of the command’s full preparations to ensure free flow of traffic on the roads during this festive season.

It also warns the motoring public against flouting road traffic rules and regulations as such will attract necessary sanctions.
