Reporter : AMECHI ODO

Ebonyi State Governor, Chief David Umahi has urged residents of the state to disregard any sit at home order by any group and go about their lawful businesses on Monday, August 9, 2021.

In a statement by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mr. Francis Nwaze, Governor Umahi directed security agencies to maintain law and order to ensure safety within public spaces.

He noted that Monday, August 9 is a work day and consequently markets, banks and schools would operate normally.

The Governor called on youths to desist from molesting law abiding citizens or any act capable of undermining the security of the state as such move would be resisted.

He emphasised that his administration was doing its best to develop all sectors of the state and would not support any move to shut down the state for any reason.
