CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES IN ANAMBRA HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH AGITATION IN THE SOUTH EAST — SOLUDO

Governor Chukwuma Soludo has reiterated his administration’s commitment towards contending with criminal elements in the state.

Governor Soludo stated this when he played host to the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 82 Division, Nigerian Army, Enugu, Major General Umar Musa at the Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia.

Governor Soludo congratulated him on his new assignment and informed him of the enterprising nature of the citizens of the state.

The Governor also described the people and residents of the state as law abiding, noting that the activities of the criminal groups had nothing to do with the agitation.

He used the opportunity to commiserate with the GOC on the soldiers, who lost their lives in the series of attacks in the state, even as he solicited for stronger partnership .

Earlier, Major General UMusa said the visit was to familiarize himself with the Governor.

He stated that since assumption of duty in the command two months ago, he had been studying the security situation in the zone and proffering best solution to the challenges.

Major General Musa further said that security could not be achieved without getting in contact with the chief security officer of the state and thanked the Governor for supporting them.

The GOC 82 Division, Enugu oversees the five south eastern states and Delta State.
