ANTI-DRUG WAR: NDLEA PARTNERS FRSC ANAMBRA

REPORTER: OBY ARINZE

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have pledged to sustain cordial working relationship in Anambra State.

The two federal institutions reached the agreement when the Anambra State NDLEA Commander, Mr. Daniel Onyishi, paid a courtesy visit to the Sector Commander FRSC, Mr. Adeoye Irelewuyi.

The NDLEA Commander said the visit was to familiarize with the FRSC sector commander following his recent appointment and to seek areas of collaboration in the fight against drugs and Narcotics in the area.

Responding, the Sector Commander, Mr. Irelewuyi, described the visit as a sign of good working relationship with FRSC, which he looked forward to sustain.

The FRSC boss also informed his visitor of how the Command had helped in the past in apprehending human traffickers while discharging operational duties, assuring him of the Command’s further support.

Mr. Irelewuyi appealed for assistance in testing drivers using drugs, just as he revealed that the Corps has a test kit for motorists driving under the influence of alcohol.
