ANAMBRA STATE: AN OLD WOMAN AND HER DAUGHTER ELECTROCUTED
A fifty five year old woman and her ten year old daughter have been electrocuted in Nnewi, Anambra State.
The woman Mrs Patience Ugbana and her daughter miss Adaeze Ugbana were in their shop along St. Peters junction , Okpuno Nnewichi in Nnewi North Local Government Area when a high tension electric wire allegedly fell on victims shop.
Police operatives visited the scene and rushed them to Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, ( NAUTH)Nnewi where they were confirmed dead by a medical doctor.
Confirming the incident in a press release, the Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Haruna Muhammed says the corpses have been deposited at NAUTH mortuary for autopsy while investigation is ongoing to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident .
